Categories Barometers, Digital Barometer
The application range of the DB278 D are the measurements of pressure in meteorological stations, for
industry and in laboratories. (for aviation use, see model DB-X series.) Beside the display of the local
pressure the QNH value can be indicated by using the front panel-switch.
The display employ a bright 0.56″ LED display with a red sunlight readable LED. The intensity of
display can be adjusted from dark room applications up to sunlight readable, making it ideal for
viewing in bright light applications. The used barometric pressure sensor is designed for measurements
that require excellent accuracy, fast dynamic response and long-term stability and reliability. The
barometer is operable in temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. But for using the excellent high accuracy
the ambient temperature should be between +10 and +30°C.
The Model DB278 D is using an extremely accurate and stable transducer which has a long term
stability of less than 0.1 hPa per year. The DB278 D is compared at 16 measuring points with the
Standard Mercury Barometer EB-3 and corrected, which is confirmed by a work certificate. By means
of this procedure the accuracy is +/-0.15 hPa over the total measuring range.
To use DB278 D for a process controlling, there are options as RS 232 and RS 485 interfaces and
analogue outputs 0…10 V and 0/4…20 mA.
