This small Stevenson's screen holds a U-tube maximum/minimum thermometer or could hold an ordinary thermometer, a Mason's hygrometer, or a pair of ordinary thermometers - one wet bulb and one dry bulb - to make a hygrometer. See photo for ideas.
**Note there is no base in the screen this is to allow air to flow around the instruments**

The large Stevenson's screen is designed to hold two recording instruments, thermograph and hair hygrograph and sheathed-pattern thermometers. It is manufactured from seasoned timber to a British Meteorological Office design.
Wooden Construction with weatherproof ply, stainless steel pins and painted to Meteorological office specifications, 2 coats inside, 3 coats outside with 5 coats on lid.

A metal stand to hold the screen at the recommended height is can be supplied
